Come and enjoy a walking tour of the city built on sand as we follow the vision of W.H. Reynolds, who created a beautiful seaside resort over 100 years ago. We will start where the city began: at the historically reconstructed LIRR station and end the tour at our Museum, home of the Long Beach Historical & Preservation Society, where you will have an opportunity to enjoy an art exhibit and refreshments. You can soak up more local history with a docent-led tour of the house built in 1909 and browse our gift shop filled with relevant books and treasures.
